CARA

During the first COVID-19 lock-down period, CARA was unable to conduct fitness to drive assessments. This obviously has consequences, not only for the validity of the fitness to drive certificates since the beginning of the COVID-19 period, but also for the validity periods of the certificates after this period.

For this reason, Minister Lydia Peeters has decided the following with regard to CARA and the certificates:

All CARA certificates expiring between 16 March 2020 and 30 December 2020 may exceptionally and conditionally be extended until 31 December 2020.

CARA will decide whether you can benefit from this exceptional measure.

For more specific information, please visit the CARA page.  If you still have questions, please send an e-mail to cara@vias.be.
